Day 29

Romantic comedies or as we all know them as "rom-coms" are quite received by mixed feelings from people. Some like them, some don't and some just watch it once or twice randomly but according to me romantic comedies are really amazing. They are always perceived as predictable with a guy and a girl falling in love and how they always end up together but what's wrong with that. Who says if something is predictable it has to be boring. I feel every rom com has it's own magic and story. You always feel connected with the characters and just wait for that precious happy end which fills you up with happiness. They always give you a belief that endings are beautiful and if it is not beautiful it is not the end the story is left. 

The best part about  rom coms are the small details that are hidden in the story and when you reconnect the dots you get the whole picture. The feeling of butterflies you feel when you see the characters falling for each other, the sadness you feel when they grow apart, the energy you feel when the characters chase each other to give that one romantic speech and finally the happiness you feel when you see them together, all of this, this whole journey is so mesmerizing. Another great fact about them is that they always have a message in them if you can find it.

I know that they are not real and just fantasy but dreaming and fantasizing is itself beautiful. There is nothing wrong with that and I feel it's good for everyone to feel that way. For me rom coms are always going to be special no matter how predictable they get I can watch a beautiful rom com as many times I want and just feel all the emotions and be in that exact magical moment. As a matter of fact they are a great mood lifters.

I always revisit my favorite rom com whenever I feel low or sad. Today was one such moment and I watched the movie What's your number? It is a beautiful story of a confused girl who makes bad decisions in her life and  how she ends up finding love. Give it a watch you might like it. A little disclaimer some people might find it too modern or unconventional so watch only if you can handle that.
